Meet the Team- Mark Hunter, Parcel Locker Location Expert
In our first edition of Meet the Team, we speak to Mark Hunter, our adrenaline junkie Parcel Locker Location Expert who loves matching clients with the perfect locker placement solution.
Mark joined the business in December 2024 and is responsible for securing new locker locations within different market sectors including retail, property and leisure.
What roles have you done previously? I’ve been a National Key Account Manager for a PLC in the provision of specialist building materials for 13 years.
What are your main responsibilities as Parcel Locker Location Expert?
My main responsibilities are securing new locations for parcel lockers throughout the UK.
What does a normal day look like?
My normal day starts quite early, keeping up to date with admin on the newly revised CRM system. Then it’s onto the reactive emails, ensuring our clients are responded to in a timely manner. The best bit is speaking with prospects and existing partners to match requirements and secure commercial locker placement solutions.
What can be the most challenging parts of the job and how do you overcome these?
One of the hardest parts of my job is trying to ensure that my client’s expectations are met. This is difficult sometimes as English may not be their first language, so I need to listen and ask questions accordingly.
I understand that it may be very daunting for our clients to speak technically on the phone, so I try to find a communication method that suits all parties.
What do you enjoy about working for LockerQuest?
The LockerQuest team are a great bunch of people. Everyone helps each other and there is never a dull day.
What do you see as the benefits for businesses working with LockerQuest?
We offer practical advice for business owners to earn extra revenue for underutilised spaces, together with a variety of solutions to suit available spaces. All of this whilst dealing with a conscientious team of people and one payment source.
What is the work-related accomplishment in your career to date that you are most proud of?
Building and nurturing a completely new team from scratch in a company restructure. The team was efficient with minimal staff churn and well regarded for what they did.
How would you describe the business in three words?
Dynamic, Efficient and Ambitious.
What are your interests outside of work?
I am an outdoor kind of person, I love travelling abroad to far flung places, with Asia being a favourite. On the flip side of that, heading away to the Norfolk or Yorkshire coast in the campervan is equally rewarding. I love riding my motorbike, I often use it to camp with long term friends in Holland and watch the MotoGP.
Tell us an interesting fact about you?
I love speed and I’m a bit of an adrenaline junkie, but rollercoasters petrify me.
