Parcel Lockers are installed in major UK Towns and Cities. They are located where people live and go, in visible and safe areas for customers to send, collect and return parcels.
In an easy to find location with good access and no obstructions. The space needs to be well lit for customers to use. Our B2B lockers need to be away from residential homes as they have a delivery between 1am and 5.30am.
No, not all the time. Some lockers are powered by solar/batteries so an electric connection is not also required.
Each parcel locker needs to be easily accessed by customers and the delivery vehicles, ideally 24/7 or early till late.
Parcel lockers can be installed inside or outside as long as the space is within your property boundary.
Ideally yes, but if your location doesn’t have a hard surface, the locker company may install a concrete base. Some lockers will also tolerate a slight slope.
Yes, there are a number of different parcel locker providers.
LockerQuest manages the space and decides on the best locker/s for each site based on several factors e.g., you may only have room for one locker, there is no power available and lockers already installed in your area.
Every locker is slightly different in size. Generally, the height of a locker is 2.4 metres high and 0.7 metres deep. The width of the locker range between 2 metres and 30 metres.
In general cases planning permission is not required within private areas. Planning permission has been known to take place on a retrospective basis, but it will a decision of the locker company.
